The hustle bustle of the kitchen, the aroma of food, eating together....all very pleasant memories. My grandmothers on both sides of the family were accomplished "kitchen queens" in their own right. My mother too is an excellent cook - she would put up new and exciting menus for us. I loved to spend time in their kitchens during vacations, listening to their stories and watching them create their magic. After marriage, cooking for my husband (and harshest critic) honed my skills. Now, my son and his demand for "special" something to eat keeps my mind ticking. In the era of takeaways and diminishing family kitchens, I wanted to share my memories of food and recipes with everyone....
